Next up on the ISB Center Stage, we welcome two remarkable artists, Rick Stotijn and Joel Quarrington.

Rick Stotijn studied double bass at the Conservatory in Amsterdam with his father Peter Stotijn, and continued his studies with Bozo Paradzik at the Hochchule in Freiburg, Germany. He has won a number of competitions and was awarded the highest accolade for a musician in the Netherlands, the Dutch Music Prize

Joel Quarrington has championed the double bass for decades as a world renowned soloist, recitalist, chamber and orchestra musician, recording artist and educator. He is principal bass of the National Arts Centre Orchestra in Ottawa, and teaches in the summers at the Orford Arts Centre, where his master classes attract players from around the world.
