Comments:
Two-piece flat back of broad grain maple with medium curl running perpendicular to the center joint. The ribs are of medium grain maple with medium-narrow curl. The scroll and peg-box are of plain grain maple with curly maple neck-graft. The table (top) is two-piece spruce of medium grain, which becomes flat sawn in the mid-point between the center seam and the edges of the bouts. The lower bouts are winged to make up the width. Varnish is a reddish brown color over a yellow ground.
